Lines and laxity around the eyes

The eye area ages fastest and is the most delicate on the face. We work here with exceptional precision — with laser and mesotherapy — so that your eyes look fresh again without a mask-like effect. At your consultation we will establish the priority: fine lines, crow’s feet or tired-looking eyes.

02 — What it is

What changes occur in the eye area

The eye area gives away your age faster than anywhere else. The skin of the eyelids is the thinnest on the whole body, almost free of glands, and in constant motion — we blink well over ten thousand times a day. That is why the first fine lines, crow’s feet and tired-looking eyes appear precisely here.

Several things add up to the look of tired eyes: dynamic crow’s feet at the outer corner, fine lines and a loss of firmness in the thin skin, and often dark circles and tear troughs as well. Each of these has a different cause — and a different, tailored solution.

See the details

Because this area is so delicate, we work precisely and carefully. The laser eyelid lift (SmoothEye) uses controlled heat to tighten the skin of the eyelids with no incisions and no recovery time. Mesotherapy and biorevitalisation — carefully chosen hyaluronic acid preparations with amino acids — rebuild the quality and hydration of the thin skin under the eye.

The choice depends on what dominates: if it is laxity and crow’s feet, we reach for the laser; if it is dehydration and crepiness, for mesotherapy; dark circles under the eyes follow a separate, regenerative route. We often combine the methods into a programme for the eye area.

04 — Causes

Where changes around the eyes come from

Very thin skin in constant motion

The thinnest skin on the body and well over ten thousand blinks a day quickly make fine lines permanent.

Falling collagen and hydration

Thin skin loses firmness and water faster, which makes it crepey and dull.

External factors

Sun, squinting, fatigue and screens all speed up ageing in this area.

05 — Recognition

Recognise your case

Crow’s feet

Radiating lines at the outer corner of the eye, visible when you smile — part muscle movement, part skin.

Fine lines and laxity

Crepiness of the thin skin under the eye and a loss of firmness — mainly a question of skin quality.

Tired eyes and dark circles

Dark circles, tear troughs and heavy eyelids — we handle these through separate, tailored routes.

Dark circles under the eyes and drooping eyelids are separate concerns — we will gladly point you to the right route at your consultation.

09 — How we choose the therapy

Let us talk about how we can help you — we will take care of the rest

We start with a conversation

You describe what concerns you — crow’s feet, fine lines or tired-looking eyes.

Assessment of the eye area

We assess what dominates: laxity, skin quality or dark circles — that determines the method.

A precise choice

We choose laser, mesotherapy or a programme for the eye area, matched to your skin.

The course and the result

We run the course and plan maintenance so that your eyes stay fresh for longer.

10 — Why it works

What the research says

We treat this area with precision, but on the basis of documented methods — laser and HA mesotherapy. Below is the evidence for the options we use around the eyes.

Er:YAG laser

Reduction of under-eye bags and lines

A study of the non-ablative, long-pulse 2940 nm Er:YAG laser (30 patients, 3 sessions) achieved a significant reduction in the volume of under-eye bags and in the severity of lines under the eye — with no ablation.

HA mesotherapy

Better skin quality and hydration

A randomised trial of hyaluronic acid-based mesotherapy demonstrated an objective improvement in skin quality and hydration.

An individual approach

Whether you need tightening with the laser or a rebuild of skin quality with mesotherapy follows from the assessment of your eye area. We build the plan individually, with care for the safety of this delicate area.

Informational and educational material — it does not replace a medical consultation. Results are individual and depend on the concern, the method and the number of treatments.

12 — Why Velvet Skin Clinic

Our approach

Precision in a difficult area

We treat the thinnest skin with exceptional care — the method and settings are chosen after a thorough assessment.

Laser and mesotherapy together

We combine skin tightening with rebuilding skin quality — that is what gives fresh, natural-looking eyes.

A natural result

The aim is well-rested eyes, not a mask. We work subtly, in stages.

13 — Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about lines around the eyes

How safe are treatments this close to the eye?

They are, when performed by an experienced specialist with the right choice of method and settings. The eye area calls for particular precision, which is why we start with an assessment and qualification at your consultation.

What works on crow’s feet?

Crow’s feet have both a muscle component and a skin component. The laser eyelid lift helps with skin firmness, and where the muscle movement is pronounced, botulinum toxin can be the answer. We settle on the best plan after an assessment.

And what about dark circles and under-eye bags?

Dark circles and tear troughs follow a separate, regenerative route — they have a different cause from lines. At your consultation we will point you to the right concern and method.

How many treatments will I need?

Most often it is a course — for example 3 laser eyelid lift treatments or a course of mesotherapy. The exact plan depends on the condition of your skin and we agree it at your consultation.

Does the result look natural?

Yes — that is the whole premise of working in this area. We refresh the eyes and improve skin quality without changing your facial expression.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the method and the number of treatments. You will find prices on the pages of the individual treatments; the best starting point is a consultation. (Price list — to be completed.)
