Legs are the largest surface on our price list and the area with the fastest perceived regrowth — shaving every two days is the norm. A full-legs session takes about 45–60 minutes.
Legs come in three options, because few people need everything at once:
From the ankle to the back of the knee. Knees are included at no extra charge.
From the knee to the groin — front, sides and back. Knees also included.
Lower legs and thighs together — on the LightSheer and Soprano price list a separate, better-value item. On the Thunder price list, full legs additionally include the feet and knees.
Feet and toes are a separate item, if you want them covered with the lower-legs option.

The maths is simple and every client does it herself: a razor every two days for several decades is a cost and a time commitment that add up over the years. A laser series is 6–8 visits.
We shave our legs quickly and without looking, so this is where nicks and post-shower dryness happen most. After the series, the daily ritual of soothing irritated skin with lotion disappears too.
Practically: leg hair is usually dark and of medium thickness, and the skin under clothing is rarely heavily tanned — favourable conditions for the laser. The biggest limitation is summer and tanning, which is why the series is best started in autumn.
Position and coverage. Lying down, first on your back, then on your front. We work in segments so nothing is missed.
Sensation. The gentlest area on the whole price list. Leg skin is thicker than in the bikini area or on the face, and the follicles shallower. Most people describe the session as a series of warm pinpricks.
Shave your whole legs the day before the session. It is a large surface, so plan it for the evening rather than a rushed morning.
On the day of the session, skin free of lotion, oil and self-tanner.
Work in segments: lower leg, knee, thigh, then the back. Cooling the whole time.
Redness for up to a few hours. For 48 hours no sauna, pool or training — sweat irritates the heated follicles.
At Velvet Skin Clinic we plan a series of 6–8 sessions in this area, every 6–8 weeks — intervals on the legs are longer than on the face.
The intervals are longer because the hair cycle in this area is slower. This is an established principle in clinical practice; the specific number of weeks is our clinic's protocol, not a trial result.
There is one reason a single session is never enough: the laser only affects follicles in their growth phase (anagen). At any given moment only part of the follicles in an area are in that phase — the rest are in catagen or telogen and do not respond to light. That is why sessions are repeated at intervals, to catch successive groups of follicles as they enter anagen (Natarelli et al., 2023, PMID 36769541).
We do not use one laser for everything. The device for this area is chosen at your consultation, after assessing your skin phototype and the thickness and colour of the hair. For phototypes IV–VI, the choice of wavelength is a matter of safety, not convenience (Lee et al., 2026, PMID 41884758).
A large handpiece and high power — on a big surface it shortens the session, which really matters for full legs.
The HS handpiece works fast across large, flat surfaces, and the ChillTip precisely around knees and ankles.
The in-motion technique — even heating across a large area.
Prices apply at both clinics. The longer the series, the lower the price per session. When treating several areas at once, package prices from the full price list apply.

Laser hair removal works over a series, not from one session to the next — below is what you can realistically see at each stage in this particular area. Results are individual and depend on hair colour and thickness, skin phototype, and hormonal factors.
Hair sheds after 7–21 days. On a large surface the first session can be misleading: it looks like an ordinary shave, but those hairs will not return.
Shaving drops from every two days to once a week, then less often. Nicks and dryness from daily shaving disappear.
Legs stay smooth with a few fine hairs. The result lasts longest of all areas, because leg hair is the least hormone-dependent.
Because in laser hair removal such a photo would prove nothing. You arrive at the session shaved — a condition without which the laser cannot work properly. A "before" photo would therefore show shaved skin, and an "after" photo hair-free skin. Both look the same; the difference only appears two to three weeks later, when one of them does not grow back.
It is more honest to describe what changes and when — and to show reviews from people who completed a full series. Before-and-after photos make sense for treatments with immediately visible results, and we publish them in those categories.
"What sets them apart is the calm, non-commercial atmosphere. Everything clean and fresh, no plastic and no noise. The visit passed in peace and quiet — these days that is truly something valuable."

Below are situations specific to this area. Contraindications common to all laser treatments — photosensitising medication, photosensitive epilepsy, cancer under active treatment, recent procedures in the area — are discussed during your consultation. Complications after laser treatments and how to manage them are described in a 2026 review (Nguyen et al., PMID 41797616).
If you shave your whole legs, the "full legs" option is better value than lower legs and thighs bought separately. If the problem concerns only the lower legs, that option is enough — knees are included in both.
At our clinic we plan 6–8 sessions at 6–8 week intervals. The intervals are longer than on the face, because the hair cycle on the legs is slower. The number of sessions depends on hair colour and thickness.
From 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the surface and the laser used. Lower legs alone take about 20 minutes, thighs about 25.
Autumn. The most serious limitation is tanning, and the series takes several months — starting in September, you finish before the season when you want the result.
Laser hair removal does not treat vascular lesions — we avoid them during the session. We have separate laser treatments for spider veins. The presence of varicose veins usually does not rule out hair removal, but we assess it individually.
Skip training for 48 hours. Sweat and friction from clothing irritate the heated follicles — the most common cause of post-treatment pustules. You can return to the pool and sauna after two days.
Yes, and you should. Shaving does not interfere with the series — it only removes the part of the hair above the skin. Wax, sugaring paste and tweezers are off-limits, because they pull the hair from the follicle, leaving the laser nothing to act on.
