Needle mesotherapy for body skin is one of the most effective and popular aesthetic medicine treatments, used to reduce skin imperfections on the body and to treat and help prevent skin conditions.

The most common indications are localised skin issues such as cellulite, stretch marks, scars, sagging and low-elasticity skin, and localised fat accumulation, for example on the inner or outer thighs or the abdomen. The needle mesotherapy treatment involves subcutaneous and intradermal injections of medical preparations — such as hyaluronic acid, meso-cocktails and other active ingredients — that help improve the skin's appearance and condition through strong biostimulation, regeneration, tightening and firming. Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that usually requires no recovery time, and delivering active ingredients directly to problem areas makes it highly effective, with visible results appearing quickly.

The treatment is most often performed on the inner thighs, outer thighs (saddlebags), abdomen, arms, buttocks, back, hips and breasts.

04 — How the needle mesotherapy treatment is performed

How the needle mesotherapy treatment is performed

For one week before the treatment, avoid taking medicines that reduce blood clotting, such as aspirin, as they increase the risk of bruising.

After the health interview, the patient is anaesthetised using a special ointment. The treatment is then carried out by performing subcutaneous injections of a medical preparation selected according to the patient's needs and indication.

After the treatment, mild soreness, redness, bruising and minor swelling may occur at the treated site. These symptoms should subside within 2–3 days. Small bumps — deposits of the preparation — may also be visible immediately after the treatment; these are absorbed within 1–2 days.

To achieve the best results, a course of anywhere from several to more than a dozen sessions is recommended, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on the indication. The full course is recommended during the initial consultation.
