What the needle mesotherapy treatment involves

Needle mesotherapy involves injecting small doses of medical preparations with active ingredients — such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, peptides and other nourishing substances — subcutaneously or intradermally.

The treatment is performed under anaesthetic and is minimally invasive, so it usually requires no recovery time. Delivering the active ingredients directly to the areas that need treatment makes it highly effective, with visible results appearing quickly.

The treatment is most often performed on the whole face, neck and décolletage, but can also target specific problem areas, such as post-acne scars, pigmentation, sagging skin on the cheeks, and the eye and lip area.

04 — How the treatment is performed

How the treatment is performed

Before the treatment, a specialist carries out a detailed health interview with the patient to rule out any contraindications and select the preparation best suited to their needs. An anaesthetic ointment is then applied to the patient's face. After about 40 minutes, the treatment can begin. The specialist makes fine intradermal or subcutaneous injections with a very thin needle and syringe to deliver the dedicated meso-cocktail directly into the skin. Thanks to the anaesthetic, the treatment causes little to no discomfort.

After the treatment, mild soreness, redness, slight bruising and minor swelling may occur at the treated site. These symptoms should subside within 2–3 days. Small bumps — deposits of the preparation — may also be visible immediately after the treatment; these are absorbed within 1–2 days.

To achieve the best results, a course of 3 to 6 sessions is recommended, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on the indication. The full course is recommended during the initial consultation.
