02 — About the treatment

The Geneo treatment — oxygenation, exfoliation and nourishment

Geneo™ is an express skincare treatment for comprehensive care, revitalisation and natural oxygenation of the skin from within. By selecting the right capsule — a base gel and a serum — we achieve oxygenation, rejuvenation and brightening for every skin type.

The treatment feels like a facial massage combined with simultaneous exfoliation. Micro-bubbles rich in carbon dioxide form on the skin and burst gently on the surface, triggering a physiological response known as the Bohr effect: oxygen-rich blood flows to the treated area, capillary circulation increases and skin cell metabolism speeds up. The skin immediately looks radiant and healthy.

Geneo, Hydrogen Peel, carboxytherapy — what's the difference

Geneo is a non-invasive, surface-level oxygenation treatment combined with exfoliation and the delivery of active ingredients — ideal for brightening and a natural glow. When deep cleansing of the pores from sebum and blackheads is the priority, Hydrogen Peel hydrogen facial cleansing. For oxygenation "from the inside" via carbon dioxide injections — for under-eye shadows, scars or cellulite — there's carboxytherapy. Acid-based exfoliation is provided by medical chemical peels. The specialist selects the treatment to match your skin type.

04 — How Geneo works

Three effects in one treatment

01

Oxygenation (Bohr effect)

CO₂ micro-bubbles bursting on the skin trigger a flow of oxygen-rich blood and stimulate cell metabolism — the skin is oxygenated "from within".

02

Exfoliation

The capsule-fitted handpiece gently exfoliates dead skin cells, smoothing the surface and improving skin tone.

03

Nourishment

The treatment creates ideal conditions for active ingredients from the capsule and serum, chosen to match your skin's needs, to absorb.

Capsules are available to match your skin's needs: NeoRevive (rejuvenation), NeoBright (brightening), and Balance (oily skin), Revive (dull skin) and Illuminate (evening skin tone). Geneo is non-invasive, safe and pleasant, and can be performed on pregnant women and for every skin type and complexion.

The research directions below concern skin oxygenation and the mechanism of the Bohr effect (the response to carbon dioxide) — the physiology behind the Geneo treatment.

The links lead to PubMed searches for the given technology. Exact publication identifiers (PMID) require live confirmation before publication — the PubMed database was unavailable during this session. The cited studies concern the CLASS of technology, not a specific device brand; results vary between individuals, and the specialist determines the number and scope of treatments. The evidence base for oxygenating treatments is more limited than for laser or RF technologies — we treat them as supportive skincare and revitalisation, not a medical therapy.

09 — Treatment procedure

How the Geneo treatment works, step by step

The treatment is preceded by a consultation with a health questionnaire. It requires no preparation and can be performed at any time of year. After cleansing and make-up removal, the skin is massaged with the Geneo handpiece fitted with a capsule matched to your skin; with the Balance, Revive or Illuminate capsules, a dedicated serum is massaged in during a second step. The treatment is non-invasive and painless — very sensitive skin may feel a slight tingling. Right after the treatment, the skin looks radiant and healthy.

16 — Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions — Geneo

What is the Geneo treatment?

Geneo is an express skincare treatment that oxygenates the skin from within (the Bohr effect), exfoliates dead skin cells, and delivers active ingredients from a selected capsule. Carbon dioxide micro-bubbles stimulate microcirculation, so the skin immediately looks radiant and healthy.

What is the Bohr effect in the Geneo treatment?

The Bohr effect is the body's physiological response to carbon dioxide. CO₂ micro-bubbles bursting on the skin signal an "oxygen shortage", so the body sends oxygen-rich blood to the area, increases capillary flow and cell metabolism — the skin is naturally oxygenated from within.

How does Geneo differ from Hydrogen Peel hydrogen facial cleansing?

Geneo focuses on oxygenating, exfoliating and nourishing the skin with ingredients from the capsule — it's a brightening, "glow" treatment. Hydrogen Peel is a hydrogen facial cleansing treatment that primarily deep-cleans the pores of sebum and blackheads and neutralises free radicals. Your cosmetologist selects the right treatment for your skin's needs.

Can Geneo be performed during pregnancy?

Yes. Geneo is non-invasive and safe, suitable for every skin type and complexion, and can be performed on pregnant women. It is always preceded by a health questionnaire, during which the cosmetologist rules out any individual contraindications.

How many Geneo treatments are needed, and how often?

Even the first treatment gives a visible brightening effect, which is why Geneo is often done as a one-off before an event. For lasting revitalisation and rejuvenation, a course of 4–6 sessions every 2–3 weeks is recommended — your cosmetologist sets the plan.

How much does the Geneo treatment cost in Warsaw?

The price starts from 300 zł and depends on the type of capsule and the treatment area. We work out the exact price and choose the capsule together at your consultation. You can book a consultation online or by phone.
