Is your hair thinning, is the scalp showing through, is more hair left on the brush? The sooner we act, the more can be held on to. We have a complete pathway — from densifying through to programmes for hair loss. At your consultation we will assess how long the thinning has been going on and where it is strongest — and match the therapy to the stage.
Visible hair loss usually comes down to miniaturisation of the follicles — the hairs become finer, shorter and sparser, until the parting widens and the scalp begins to show through. The most common causes are androgenetic alopecia (genetically determined, in both women and men) and telogen effluvium — temporary, after childbirth, illness or severe stress. One principle is key: the sooner we act, the more follicles we keep.
At Velvet Skin Clinic we do not rely on a single method — we combine them into a pathway matched to the stage: energy stimulation (laser), mesotherapy and a peptide hair filler, regeneration with plasma (PRP) and a cell concentrate (CGF), and comprehensive trichology programmes. This page sets out the whole offering and points you to the right solution.
Different mechanisms act on different links in the chain: laser and light stimulate the follicle with energy, mesotherapy and the peptide filler deliver active ingredients straight into the scalp, and plasma and the cell concentrate use growth factors from your own blood. The Hair Boost, Hair Regrow and Hair Restore programmes bring this together into one plan matched to the stage — from densifying through to advanced hair loss.
We run hair therapies on several fronts — from mesotherapy and plasma, through laser, to trichology programmes. The figures shown cover the whole clinic and the family of hair treatments.

Genetically determined miniaturisation of the follicles — in women (thinning at the crown) and in men (a receding hairline, the top of the head).
Temporary, heavier shedding after childbirth, illness, severe stress or a restrictive diet — often reversible.
Deficiencies (iron, vitamin D), thyroid and hormonal disorders, certain medicines — these need to be ruled out through diagnostic tests.
Establishing the cause directs the therapy — which is why we start with a scalp assessment and a medical history, and where needed with diagnostic tests.
Finer and sparser hair, less “volume”, but with no distinct patches — a good moment for densifying.
More hair on the brush and the pillow, a widened parting — time for a more intensive therapy.
A visible scalp, a receding hairline, a thinned crown — an indication for a comprehensive programme.
At your consultation we assess the scalp and the stage, and then propose a therapy or a programme matched to the situation.
We match the solution to the stage. The programmes bring the methods together into one plan; individual treatments are used on their own or as support. Each entry leads to its own page.
An entry-level programme for improving hair density and condition — for when you want “volume” and prevention.
A more intensive programme for marked shedding — it combines stimulation and nourishment of the follicles.
A comprehensive premium programme for androgenetic alopecia — it combines several methods in one advanced plan.
| Stage | Goal | Recommendation | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loss of density | densifying, prevention | Hair Boost | mesotherapy (Dr Cyj), laser |
| Marked shedding | halting the loss, regrowth | Hair Regrow | PRP, mesotherapy |
| Androgenetic alopecia | comprehensive therapy | Hair Restore | laser, PRP, CGF |
Energy stimulation, mesotherapy and plasma regeneration are methods with a growing evidence base in the treatment of hair loss. Below are the publications on which we base our choice of pathway.
A randomised trial showed that low-level light therapy significantly increases hair density in people with androgenetic alopecia.
Lanzafame et al., Lasers Surg Med 2014 · PubMed →A systematic review assessed the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in hair therapy, summarising a broad base of clinical studies.
Rodríguez-Castro et al., 2024 · PubMed →A clinical study of an injectable peptide filler showed improvement in hair density and thickness in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
Sarkar et al., 2015 · PubMed →Informational and educational material — it does not replace a consultation or diagnostic assessment. The studies cited concern the individual methods as a group; the choice of therapy and the result are determined by your specialist individually.
We start with an assessment and then work in cycles — because rebuilding hair takes time and consistency. The plan and the choice of methods are set by your specialist, and where indicated we refer you for diagnostic tests.
A medical history, assessment of the scalp and the stage; where needed — tests to establish the cause.
Choosing the programme or the methods to suit the stage and the cause.
Regular sessions in a cycle — stimulation, mesotherapy, plasma or a programme.
A review of the result after the course and a plan to maintain density over time.
Home care and lifestyle genuinely support the result of the treatments. Below are the most important principles.
The best result comes from completing the full course and keeping to the planned intervals.
Gentle, well-matched products and attention to the condition of the scalp support the follicles.
A balanced diet and correcting deficiencies (after testing) favour regrowth.
Reducing stress and good sleep hygiene limit heavy telogen shedding.
If your specialist recommends a topical treatment, use it consistently alongside the treatments.
Informational and educational material. Detailed recommendations are given by your specialist; results are individual.

nina · 2024review from BooksyTherapy is preceded by a scalp assessment and a medical history. Some of the methods involve needles (mesotherapy, PRP, the peptide filler) — for these the same precautions apply as for blood-derived and injectable treatments:
With sudden, rapid or patchy shedding we establish the cause first — where needed we refer you to a doctor or trichologist before any treatment.
In many cases yes — the sooner we start, the more follicles can be kept. Effectiveness depends on the cause and the stage. That is why we begin with an assessment and then match the therapy: from densifying, through mesotherapy and plasma, to programmes for advanced hair loss.
There is no single best method for everyone — we match it to the stage and the cause. For densifying, the Hair Boost programme works well; for marked shedding, Hair Regrow; and for androgenetic alopecia, the comprehensive Hair Restore. As support we use mesotherapy and the peptide filler (Dr Cyj), PRP plasma, CGF and laser. Your specialist decides on the best pathway.
Hair grows slowly, so the first effects (less shedding, better condition) are usually visible after several to a dozen or so weeks, while density is assessed after the full course and over a longer period of observation. We deliver therapies in cycles.
Most methods are well tolerated. For needle treatments (mesotherapy, PRP, the peptide filler) we use an anaesthetic and fine needles. Laser stimulation is comfortable. The details depend on the method chosen.
Yes. Telogen effluvium (after childbirth, illness or severe stress) is often temporary — we support regrowth with mesotherapy and skincare, and where needed we refer you for tests to establish the cause. We match the plan individually.
When shedding is sudden, rapid or patchy, or when other symptoms accompany it, it is worth establishing the cause first (deficiencies, thyroid, hormones). In such situations we refer you to a doctor or trichologist before any treatment.
Treatments at Velvet Skin Clinic are performed by certified cosmetologists with many years of experience in laser therapy, hi-tech devices and skin care treatments. After a consultation we match the method and the specialist to your skin and your goal.
