NightLase™ — laser snoring treatment

A comfortable, non-surgical Fotona laser procedure for snoring. The Er:YAG beam firms and tightens the lax soft tissue of the palate and throat that vibrates during sleep — in most cases, 2–3 sessions are enough to noticeably reduce snoring and improve sleep quality.

02 — About the treatment

NightLase — laser snoring treatment without surgery

NightLase™ is an innovative, comfortable laser procedure on the Fotona platform that effectively reduces snoring and improves sleep quality. It uses the energy of the Er:YAG laser beam to tighten, firm and thicken the soft tissue of the mouth and throat. Once this tissue is no longer lax, the patient can sleep more peacefully — their breathing no longer sets the palate vibrating, which is what causes snoring. In most cases, 2 or 3 sessions are enough to get rid of this troublesome problem.

Who NightLase is for, and when assessment for sleep disorders come first

NightLase works best when snoring is mainly caused by lax soft tissue in the mouth and throat. If you suspect obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) — loud snoring with pauses in breathing, daytime sleepiness — the first step is diagnostics and a medical consultation; the treatment is then chosen individually after assessment. Snoring is especially common in men; you'll find more treatments for men in our Men's Zone.

04 — How NightLase works

What Er:YAG laser snoring treatment involves

01

Treating the throat tissue

The Er:YAG beam works on the mucous membranes of the soft palate, uvula and throat structures — with no incisions and no anaesthesia.

02

Heating the collagen

Controlled heat strengthens the collagen structures, firming and tightening the lax tissue responsible for vibration during sleep.

03

Calmer breathing during sleep

The tissue keeps its tone through the night instead of sagging, which reduces snoring and improves sleep and oxygenation.

NightLase is a non-surgical, gentle and comfortable alternative to surgical methods and short-term pharmacological remedies — with no recovery time and no compromise on effectiveness.

The cited studies concern Er:YAG laser technology for treating snoring, not a specific device brand. NightLase reduces snoring linked to lax soft tissue; if obstructive sleep apnoea is suspected, diagnostics and a medical consultation are required. Results vary between individuals.

09 — The treatment procedure

What the NightLase procedure looks like, step by step

The procedure begins with a detailed review of your medical history and a check for contraindications. The patient then takes a seated position. The treatment takes place inside the mouth and involves treating each area in turn: the soft palate, uvula, palatoglossal arches, tonsils, and the base and sides of the tongue. The session itself takes around 15 minutes, is comfortable and requires no downtime — you can return to your daily activities right after.

10 — Aftercare

The treatment requires no downtime. In the first few days, though, it's worth going easy on your throat to support the effect of the therapy.

No alcohol for 24 hours

For 24 hours after the treatment, avoid alcohol.

Limit exercise

For 3 days, avoid factors that dilate blood vessels (intense exertion, physical exercise).

Gentle diet

For a few days, skip very spicy and hot food and drinks, and irritating toothpastes or mouthwashes.

Stick to the course

For the full effect, a course of usually 3 sessions at the right intervals is needed.

Follow-up visit

Once the course is complete, book a follow-up (about 6 weeks after the last session) to assess the results.

Frequently asked questions — NightLase Fotona

What does NightLase laser snoring treatment involve?

NightLase is a non-surgical Fotona laser procedure in which the Er:YAG beam heats and firms the lax soft tissue of the palate and throat. Once tightened, the tissue no longer sags or vibrates during sleep, which reduces snoring and improves sleep quality.

Does the NightLase treatment hurt?

No. The treatment is comfortable, needs no anaesthesia or incisions, and takes about 15 minutes. It takes place inside the mouth while seated, and you can return to your daily activities immediately afterwards.

How many NightLase sessions are needed?

For the full effect, a course is recommended — usually 3 sessions carried out at the right intervals. With a very lax palate, an extra session some time after the course may be needed. The specialist sets the plan after your consultation.

Does NightLase treat sleep apnoea?

NightLase reduces snoring and apnoea linked to lax soft tissue in the throat. If you suspect obstructive sleep apnoea, diagnostics and a medical consultation are needed first — the therapy is then chosen individually, and combined with treatment led by a doctor where needed.

How quickly do results show, and how long do they last?

Improvement is usually felt during the course of treatment. Clinical studies indicate that improvement in subjective sleep parameters can be maintained for up to 4 years after therapy, although durability varies between individuals and touch-up sessions may be needed.

How much does NightLase cost in Warsaw?

A single session is 800 zł, and in a course of 3 sessions the price is 600 zł per session. We work out the exact plan at your consultation. You'll find the full price list on our pricing page, and you can book a consultation online or by phone.
