Static wrinkles and volume loss

Lines that remain even when the face is at rest are most often a matter of lost collagen and lost volume. We rebuild them gradually, from within — with no overfilled look. At your consultation we will assess where your face has lost volume — and propose a course of stimulation matched to your skin.

02 — What it is

What are static wrinkles and volume loss

Static wrinkles are the ones you can see even when the face is relaxed. Unlike expression lines they do not come from movement alone, but from a weakening of the structure of the skin — a fall in collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid — and from the loss and shifting of volume beneath it.

Over time the fat pads shrink and the bony support recedes. The face starts to look as though it has dropped: the cheeks lose support, folds and shadows appear, and you look tired even when you are well rested. It is a process that can be slowed and partly reversed — by rebuilding the skin from within.

See the details

We work along two complementary routes. Collagen biostimulators prompt the skin to produce its own new collagen (neocollagenesis) — the effect builds over weeks and is long lasting. Biorevitalisation with stabilised hyaluronic acid restores hydration and density, improving firmness without adding volume.

That lets us tailor the therapy to the goal: rebuilding skin quality, subtly restoring firmness, or giving collagen support to the facial contour. With no overfilling and no change to your features — the point is for the face to look rested rather than done.

04 — Causes

Where the loss of firmness and volume comes from

Falling collagen and elastin

From the age of 25–30 the skin produces less collagen each year — it loses springiness and support.

Shrinking and shifting fat pads

The fat pads of the face shrink and slide downwards, which brings out folds and shadows.

Bone resorption and gravity

A lower bony support and the pull of gravity make the face drop, and the lines become permanent.

05 — Recognition

Recognise your case

Thin, crepey skin

Fine lines and a loss of density — mainly a question of skin quality. Biorevitalisation leads the way here.

Loss of volume and contour

Hollow cheeks, folds and a dropped look — this calls for collagen support and rebuilding of the underlying support.

Established lines

Lines visible at rest, often with a movement component as well — we combine skin rebuilding with other methods.

Not sure which group you fall into? We will assess it at your consultation and select the method.

07 — How we help

How we help with the loss of collagen and volume

We match the option to what your skin is missing: quality, density or collagen support for the facial contour. Most often we combine them into a plan spread over time. Every treatment has its own page with the details and the price.

Treatment

ProfHilo™

Stabilised hyaluronic acid — deep hydration and better firmness without adding volume.

Treatment

Crystalys™

Calcium hydroxylapatite — a biostimulator that rebuilds collagen and supports the facial contour.

Treatment

Poly-L-lactic acid

A collagen stimulator with a gradual, long-lasting action — rebuilding from within.

Treatment

Sunekos™

Hyaluronic acid with amino acids — revitalisation and rebuilding of the skin matrix, including thin skin.

Programme

5-Step Collagen Boost

A comprehensive, combined collagen-stimulation protocol — when you want an all-in-one result.

Treatment

Linerase™

Type I atelocollagen — ready-made, bioactive collagen delivered by mesotherapy, which prompts fibroblasts to produce their own collagen and elastin. It rebuilds density and springiness gradually, over a course of 2–4 treatments; it does not provide an immediate top-up of volume.

09 — How we choose the therapy

Let us talk about how we can help you — we will take care of the rest

We start with a conversation

You describe what concerns you — fine lines, a dropped look, hollow cheeks.

Skin analysis

We assess quality, density and the volume deficit in each zone.

A tailored plan

We select a biostimulator or revitalisation and spread the treatments over time.

Rebuilding and maintenance

The effect builds between treatments; we plan maintenance to hold the result.

10 — Why it works

What the research says

Rebuilding the skin with biostimulators is not a momentary plumping effect but a documented process of forming new collagen of your own. That is why the result builds and lasts.

Biostimulators

Neocollagenesis after PLLA and calcium hydroxylapatite

A review of the mechanism and clinical data for poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) confirms the stimulation of fibroblasts and the formation of new collagen, together with improved volume and skin quality.

Stabilised HA

Better elasticity and hydration

A study of stabilised hyaluronic acid demonstrated a significant improvement in the elasticity and hydration of ageing facial skin.

An individual approach

Whether you need hydration, collagen stimulation or volume support follows from the assessment of your skin. We build the plan individually, with no single protocol.

Informational and educational material — it does not replace a medical consultation. Results are individual and depend on the concern, the method and the number of treatments.

12 — Why Velvet Skin Clinic

Our approach

Two routes to rebuilding

We combine collagen biostimulation and HA biorevitalisation — matched to the specific deficit in your skin.

A natural look

We work on quality and support; we do not change your features. The goal: a rested face, not a done one.

A plan over time

The effect builds — we guide you through a course and maintenance rather than a single shot.

13 — Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about static wrinkles and rebuilding volume

How do static wrinkles differ from expression lines?

Expression lines appear when the face moves and are treated with toxin. Static wrinkles are visible at rest and result from the loss of collagen and volume — here we rebuild the skin with biostimulators and hydration. They often occur together, in which case we combine the methods.

Is this the same as HA fillers?

Not quite. Classic fillers add volume in a particular place. Biostimulators prompt the skin to produce its own collagen, while biorevitalisation improves quality and hydration. The choice depends on what your skin is missing.

When will I see the result?

Hydration and better skin quality are usually visible after a few weeks. The effect of collagen biostimulators builds gradually over 1–3 months and lasts a long time, which is why we work in courses.

Does the result look natural?

Yes — that is the whole premise. We rebuild the structure of the skin and its support without changing your features. With a correctly chosen plan there is no overfilled look.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on the method and the condition of your skin — from a single treatment to a course of 2–4. We agree the exact plan after a skin analysis at your consultation.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the option chosen and the number of treatments. You will find the prices of individual treatments on their own pages; the best starting point is a consultation. (Price list — to be completed.)
